Too much

This art shows high quantities of coloured and textured punnets of different fruits compressed together. A mass of texture and colour. The S.O.S message has been formed in the optical display of fruits. It demonstrates how a person can become overwhelmed when there is too much sensory information for them to input. People living with sensory differences described this feeling as ‘Overload’ – When it all becomes too much for them to manage.

“If I get sensory overload then I just shut down; and I get what's known as fragmentation...it's weird, like being tuned into 40 TV channels."  - An autistic person Autism.org.uk
