Dog Blog
Honey is a therapy dog that Mel met whilst walking by Centre and she arranged for her to pop in to meet us all. So on 26th August, as part of our Thursday afternoon group we got to meet the amazing 'Honey Marshmallow'.
She was a bit nervous and jumpy at first so we all sat down quietly for her to come in. There was a slight noise and she nearly ran out....but we all reassured her that its okay to be frightened and she come in and settled down. I really enjoyed stroking Honey and giving her treats and I was amazed as some people really liked dogs and others were a bit scared, but everyone did amazing and all had a turn of stroking her.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when Emma who I've been a Happy Helper with for a long time made her famous noise....Honeys head quickly turned to watch her and I think that she knew she could calm Emma. Honey came really close and sat next to Emma for a while and she calmed down, it was lovely to watch.
Everyone in my group said at our next Parliament to mention bringing Honey back and also to find out if we could have more different animals in too.
Here's what some of my friends said:
Jordan - It was lovely and calming and I didn't expect that.
Chloe - I really loved Honey and want to see her again.
Caren - Honey was really lovely and friendly.
Matty - I found it really happy and I thought the lady was very kind bringing her in to see us.
