3rd February 25
Today was our first session in our second Inspiring Dreams course and we were discussing our favourite foods, some were classical food and some other types of food and after we played the This or That game, which was good. EG 'Morning' or 'Night' person and we did a little fun zodiac animal for Chinese New Year. I found out I was born year of the pig. After this we made our vision boards, mine is similar to last time but has different things on there.
10th February 25
Back again for our 2nd day of Inspiring Dreams.
Today we started with a reminder and little get to know game because we have some new people on the course. Donna and Annabelle were helpers and I found out Clara who is new to the course. We played our favourite biscuit game, some people said KitKat, others shortbread and some people said Oreos. We had a recap from last week, and had thought of some positive words to add to our vision boards. Our positive words began with the letters of our name and Heather did an example on paper first, so we could all understand. Her example was H- for Honest, E- for energetic, A-for amazing, T – for thoughtful, H-honourable, E- for Ethical, R- for reasonable.
17th February 25
Our 3rd class and today we discussed what animal we would like to be, we filled the jars with words then we did a team building which was build a tower out of cups.
24th February 25
Our 4th session and it started off with a power point presentation about perceptions. We all made a dice, followed by dice breakers and then we did a real or ai quiz and learnt a lot. Then we had time to practice form filling which was good.
3rd March 25
We looked today at the Mindful March calendar, it had loads of mindful sayings, little questions of true or false and we continued our true or false ai quiz which was amazing, it got our brains working. After that we made a start on our personal statement ideas for our videos.
10th March 25
Monday 10th March 2025 was our six session, we first did positivity words with a partner and that was good, and then we did our grateful worksheet and some people did a video, others were shy, then we had a little break and one of the course classmates brought some doughnuts for us and that was good and then after the break we decorated our little journals.
17th March 25
Today was our seventh session and it was Mindfulness & Movement. It was a really amazing session and we watched a video and had a quiz which was great. I didn’t know about that our mind could be like a weather forecast. Then did movements, seated Yoga and small stretches moving with our breath. After this we chatted about what we did to bring back the mind from unhelpful chatter. To remind us of all the things that we each made a colourful reminder for our bedroom walls - so we can see at a glance what brings our mind back, and its usually things that relax us too. We finished with massage and Helen showed me how massage not only feels nice but it really helps our circulation too.
